Global "Warning" - A "Convenient" Truth
October 2007

Dear Partners and Friends

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:22
"Thy Word is truth" John 17:17

This world doesn't need "global warming" - it needs a "global warning"! A strong admonition to hear and speak the Word of God!

We are surrounded every day by hearing people speak. Thank the Lord for the ability to hear and talk, but a lot of what we hear we don't need to hear, and much of what we speak we don't need to speak.

There were notices posted at certain places in wartime Britain and they said this: "Careless talk costs lives". In other words, "just about" what was spoken in everyday life could have been used against Britain by their enemies (Hitler and Co) who had spies or informers posing as ordinary British citizens.

Well, I am writing this because wrong talk is still costing people (including many Christians) their health, lives, businesses, wealth, marriages, friends, and their success in life. How can we all put a stop to it? "How", you say? By doing this: - thinking, speaking, believing, and living the Word of God. God told Joshua to keep speaking what He had said and the results would be that he would make his way prosperous and be successful (Joshua 1:8).

This scripture comes to mind: "If any many speak, let him speak as the oracles of God" (1 Peter 4:11). In other words, if you are going to speak make sure your words are definitely in harmony with what the Bible says about you or any other situation. You want to be a winner and succeed, don't you? (Romans 3:4; Matthew 12:37).

Every person in this world need help, comfort and encouragement. Well, that is what God has provided for us in His Word, through the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and through caring people of God. Of course, God Himself lifts up the fallen, downtrodden, rejected, and despised when people call upon Him. And how this tragic world needs Him.

What is so sad is that many Christians are depressed and defeated. But the Christian has the answers at their fingertips, or we should say "on their lips and in their heart" (Romans 10:8-10). Our trials can be severe (never unbearable though), but God makes a way of escape and He does not allow us to suffer more than we can bear. He makes a way out for us to escape the conflict we suffer (1Corinthians 10:13). The devil can do a lot of damage but he cannot destroy us unless we deliberately and permanently get into not believing and speaking contrary to God's Word, which is the Truth! It is an active faith in the Truth that brings us out of our difficulties, tests and trials and causes us to overcome Satan and his myriad of demon spirits. Jesus, the Truth, makes us completely free! Speaking and acting like the Word of God is the Truth is the only effective way in this life to experience its full operation and working.

Start believing and saying out loud these words in line with His Word (even if it is to yourself in your room) and keep saying them until they registers in your heart as well:-
I can do what I need to do through Christ who strengthens me.
All things are working together for good for me.
I can believe, I will believe; the Greater One is in me.
I don't have to be defeated. I can win.
I can receive all I need for this life.
My God has and is supplying all my needs (Philippians 4:19).
As I go through life with the knowledge of His Word and faith, which includes saying it with my mouth. (1 Corinthians 14:3) no matter what difficulties or troubles come my way, I eventually overcome them through faith in what Jesus did for me and what He is doing for me right now.
How can I lose, because I know what to choose.

The psalmist David said, "I have set the Lord always before me" (Psalm16:8). He knew where his victory was. In the New Testament we look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Most people always want a room with a view, which is fine. But we can't win in life with a nice view of the mountains or ocean, etc. but we can and will win in life with a view of Jesus and His victory for us at the cross.

He is wonderful in dark times or happy times. Keep Him and His Word in your view and keep saying "Jesus is Wonderful!" He really is! Amen!

GORDON'S HEALTH UPDATE:
It is so wonderful to be in a family of love, care and prayer. The true Body of Christ is the most powerful force on this earth and can be more powerful still for these end days. I've always believed each believer in unity with each other and moving in the love of God is vital to moving stubborn mountains and opening prison doors of the needs of Christians and people of the world who ask for help from God's people.

Well, I want to thank the Lord for your prayers of agreement in God's Word to heal (Matthew 18:18, 19 and Acts 12:5). I have had a very good report from the medical consultant saying that further tests showed my gall bladder and pancreas normal and no need for surgery!! Praise the Lord; He is our Savior and our Healer and our Provider.

Thank you for all your encouraging e-cards and e-mails you sent us as you stood in agreement prayer for my healing. I am recovered and feeling wonderful again. Thank you for your continued financial support as we prepare to go again, resuming our traveling ministry.

Our first ministry will be with Rev Cliff Lawson's fine church, Wells of Blessing, in Vallejo, California on November 11th. We will soon be announcing our itinerary here in the USA, Europe, Bermuda and other open doors. We have recently received invitations to the Philippians, Africa and Pakistan..

Thank you for e-mails and cards congratulating our daughter Zoe and her husband Perry on the birth of Seth, our sixth grandchild.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
We pray daily for all requests that come to us by phone, e-mail and personal contacts.

We have a family need which we ask you to agree in prayer with us concerning our son Russell. For two years he has been going through a very difficult trial - a divorce and accompanying financial difficulties in his business. Just this week at the point of very little hope, the Lord turned his situation around, so we ask you to agree with us that he will receive the direction of the Lord for his future. We appreciate your continued prayers for all of us as a family.

Thank you again for your part in all our victories. Yours is on the way as you keep your eyes firmly fixed on His Word and promises for you. We agree for that.

Love and blessings in Jesus
