These are urgent and critical times that call for more than nice friendly chats over a cup of tea or coffee with someone telling you “how special you are”.

True, we are “special” as human beings, but do we really care enough about the Lord Jesus, care enough to make Him number “special” in our life in all truthfulness and reality?  Some have said, “If only Jesus would appear in New York or London or somewhere…just to show the world some miracle in the sky, that would make them believe”.  Don’t be so sure!

Well God has revealed Himself in so many ways to humanity.  From the wonder of creating the world and universe to revealing Himself to human beings such as Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, the prophets, kings and the nation of Israel in signs, wonders and mighty miracles.  This included a pillar of smoke, a burning bush, a world-wide flood, manna from heaven, water out of a rock, parting of the Red Sea, walking on water, raising the dead, healing everyone of their sicknesses and diseases, raising the dead and multiplying food for the multitudes.  Shall I go on?

Did all these supernatural signs and wonders turn everyone to God?  The answer is a resounding NO.  If God were to announce He was going to be in your local store between 4 and 6 pm, how many would turn up?  Probably a few if the World Cup or Hollywood scandal or Super Bowl wasn’t on TV.  What are we getting at?  The Coming again of Jesus to complete His Biblical program is about to usher in an end time revival, including great signs and wonders, to rescue those who will believe and can be reached.  Hebrews 1:2 declare that God has spoken to us in these last days by His Son – only by and through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no other ‘go between’ God and man but Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5).  He alone must be the One exalted, no man.  Although the anti-Christ will try to be exalted he will fail.

I think it requires us to announce His very soon coming.  Was Paul too premature or too ignorant of facts to realize His predictions were before the time?  He was not wrong in their intent or substance; just timing if Paul meant Jesus would come in his day.

It is said of David, “ … he served his generation” (Acts 13:36).  This is for all God’s people and ours too.  If we do that we are in tune with God’s plans and programs, Hallelujah! Come Lord Jesus come! Amen!

Thank you for helping us – we serve together!
